Dear Child,
Welcome to this world of clowns,
It’s topsy-turvy, upside downs.
It amuses, rankles, irks and riles,
The best of us, it beguiles.
In time, they'll ask you to be an adult,
Be cautious and wary of the result.
To act maturely and to grow up,
Might simply make you want to throw up.
You'll find wisdom in many a book,
You’ll learn a lot, if you learn to look.
And if ever you put a lie to the test,
Be prepared to find the truth in its breast.
